Chi Sigma Iota is the international honor society for students, professional counselors and counselor educators established at Ohio University in 1985. Our mission is to promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling.

Zeta Chapter was established at UAB in 1985. Your chapter has initiated 225+ members.

TIP Speaker Series

Zeta Chapter launches it's "TIP Speaker Series" for 2007-08. The series brings in professional counselors to address very specific issues related to counselor training. Zeta Chapter's first TIP Series speaker was Dr. Walter Cox of the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling . Click here for more details.

 

Chi Sigma Iota National Theme Seminars

Zeta Chapter launches it's "Theme Speaker Series" for 2007-08. The series mirrors Chi Sigma Iota's President, Dr. June Williams' theme of "Looking Within, Reaching Out,  and Moving Beyond."  Zeta Chapter's first speaker regarding "Looking Within" was Dr. Judith Harrington. Click here for more details.
