The UAB Campus Map is a must have to finding your way around campus! A healthy mind depends on a healthy body. Close quarters and stress can make students vulnerable to all kinds of sickness. That’s where the UAB Student Health Service comes in. We provide care for the medical needs of UAB students, including prevention, treatment, or counseling.

To make an appointment, call us at (205) 934-3581. Student Health has walk-in hours from 8:00am-9:00am and 12:00 noon until 2:00pm for "acute" care and injuries. If it can wait... please schedule an appointment.

Campus safety is a priority at UAB.  Campus Escorts are available by calling (205) 934-8772 after dark until 10:30 PM.  A police officer will accompany you on foot or in a marked police vehicle to any point on campus.  There are over 200 Help Phones placed around campus.  The phones are direct lines to the UAB police department and are monitored 24 hours a day.  Several free Personal Safety and Security Awareness workshops are scheduled each semester geared toward preventative measures to keep our students safe!

New parking options are available for graduate students attending evening and weekend classes.

The Student Concerns Committee would like insight into issues that interest or concern our students. The digital suggestion box is where students may express their praise or concerns, ask questions or make suggestions about the operations of the UAB School of Education. These items will be brought forth to the SCC in a anonymous format.

Imagine living within blocks of your classes and university activities, among people from various backgrounds, and in the heart of a vibrant community. By living in UAB’s Student Housing, you will be connected to exciting opportunities.
