TEACH Grant Program - Through the College Cost
Reduction and Access Act of 2007, Congress created
the Teacher Education Assistance for College and
Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program that provides
grants of up to $4,000 per year to students who
intend to teach in a public or private elementary or
secondary school that serves students from
low-income families.
TSPAT scholarship -
If you are an Alabama public
school teacher, your tuition for EDT 610, EDT 620 and
EDT 630 may be eligible to be paid by the state. You
may get an application form in the Financial Aid on UAB
campus. (HUC 317).
UAB Scholarships - More than 1,500 scholarships are
awarded to UAB students each year, which means there’s a
good possibility one is waiting for you.

Troops to Teachers-
The Troops to Teachers (TTT) Program
is a federally funded Department of Defense Program
which also partners with the Department of
Education. The goal of the program is to assist
eligible veterans in becoming K - 12 teachers.
Financial assistance is provided to eligible
individuals as Stipends up to $5K to help pay for
teacher certification costs or as Bonuses of $10K to
teach in schools serving a high percentage of
students from low-income families.

Peace
Scholar Dissertation Fellowship - The Peace Scholar
Dissertation Fellowship is open to doctoral students
enrolled in U.S. universities who are writing their
dissertation. You must have completed all course work and
examinations toward your doctoral degree by the time the
fellowship begins in the fall. You must also submit a
proposal of your work in any discipline to qualify for this
award. Selection is based on the following factors: record
of achievement and/or leadership potential; significance and
potential of the project for making an important
contribution to knowledge, practice or public understanding;
and quality of the project design and its feasibility within
the timetable proposed. Preference will be given to those
who have not held Institute fellowships or grants in the
past.
The Sallie Mae Fund - Since 2001, The Sallie Mae Fund
has awarded $12.7 million in scholarships to help more than
5,000 students enroll in college.
All-Ink.com College Scholarship Program - The All-Ink.com
College Scholarship Program is available to students who are
enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college or
university with a minimum 2.5 GPA. You must be a U.S.
citizen or permanent resident to be considered for this
award. To apply for this scholarship, you must submit a 50-
to 200-word essay on who has had the greatest impact on your
life, and a 50- to 200-word essay on what you hope to
achieve in your personal and professional life after
college.
Gaia Community Scholarship - The Gaia Community
Scholarship is available to students aspiring to be the
change they wish to see in the world, live authentically and
make a difference. You must answer the questions listed on
the sponsor's website, one in under 25 words and two in
under 250 words per question. Applicants who wish to apply
online must register as members on the site for processing
purposes, but you can also apply via regular mail without
registering.
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s scholarship programs are
designed to encourage and support outstanding students who
work hard, demonstrate a strong will to succeed, and have
financial need. Our scholarships provide financial
assistance and academic support to high school,
undergraduate, and graduate students.
Monster Scholars
Offers multiple $2,500
scholarships for Art, Humanities, Social Science, Education, Health &
Life Sciences majors whose very brief thematic essays are judged as the
best. Other award criteria include academic achievement, school and
community involvement, and work experience.
Roothbert Fund
Provides
“scholarship support to persons motivated by spiritual values;
preference is given to those with high scholastic
achievement considering careers in education.”
TextbookX Student Scholarships
Multiple
awards between $250-$1,500 are offered each academic
term to undergrad and graduate students whose brief
thematic essays are judged as the best.
Harry
S. Truman Scholarship
75
awards of $30K to U.S. citizen or national with minimum
of 3.5 GPA planning to attend grad school to purse a
career in public service, NGO, aiding the needy or
disadvantaged, or protecting the environment.
