National Board Certification Seminar Program

The purpose of UAB’s National Board Certification Seminar program is to prepare candidates for the certification process and to support them as they complete the process. Seminar topics include learning theory, cooperative learning, alternative assessment, time management, National Board Standards analysis, portfolio entries preparation, and videotaping tips. Direct assistance is given in preparing port-folio entries and in preparing for assessment center exercises.  After completion of the seminars, a participant can register for 3 to 6 hours of graduate credit.
