Kappa Delta Pi
Kappa Delta Pi (KDP),
an international honor society in education, was founded in 1911 at the
University of Illinois. The Mu Mu Chapter at The University of Alabama
at Birmingham (UAB) was chartered in 1971. Kappa Delta Pi now comprises
582 chapters and more than 45,000 members. The purpose of KDP at UAB is
to recognize exemplary achievement among those dedicated to the teaching
professions and to encourage communication and collaboration among its
members.
