Graduate Teaching Fellows in Modeling and Visualization in K-12 Education About GK-12 The National Science Foundation's Graduate Teaching Fellows in K-12 Education Program (GK-12) supports teaching fellowships for graduate students in the sciences, mathematics, engineering, and technology (SMET) disciplines. The GK-12 Graduate Teaching Fellows Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham is a collaboration of the UAB School of Education with the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Computer and Information Sciences. This program is a partnership between three campuses: the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois at Urbana, and the University of Alabama at Huntsville. GK-12 Graduate Teaching Fellows in SMET disciplines serve as resources for K-12 educators in the implementation of the GK-12 Graduate Teaching Fellows Program in computer-based modeling and scientific visualization.
