Admission requirements for the IEP are as follows: you must be at least 17 years old at the time of your first planned semester,
you must have completed secondary (high) school, and you must be a non-native English speaker.
Apply and Pay Online via the UAB TouchNet System:
Apply and pay your registration fee by cash, check, or money order from the United States:
Complete the IEP application and print it. Please make your check or money order payable to "UAB." You may mail it to the address below or you may bring it to the office. If paying by cash, please bring exact change as our office cannot make change. DO NOT send cash in the mail.
Apply and pay your registration fee by electronic deposit (wire transfer) from another country:

If you will need immigration documents (a F-1 or J-1 Visa) to come to the U.S. to study, please click here to fill out the Statement of Financial Responsibility.
If you are interested in part-time study at the IEP, please use one of the following methods, above, for completing the IEP application. A registration fee is not due for part-time applicants.
