Cross-cultural communication training
The ELCI offers a wide array of cross-cultural communication training seminars and courses.

For UAB employees, courses are offered through UAB Training and Development. UAB faculty and staff are encouraged to visit the following page which offers detailed information on upcoming cross-cultural communication training: Info for UAB employees working with internationals. For non-UAB persons, our cross-cultural communication training is available on a contract-basis. Such training may occur in a seminar or course format for companies or institutions. The ELCI has served a variety of central Alabama companies in preparing their American staff to do business abroad, work with persons of a particular culture, prepare for overseas living, and learn about target culture groups with whom the companies wish to do business. *This training is offered for internationals (non-Americans). The seminars help internationals understand American workplace culture, values, and expectations.
