Urban Teacher Enhancement Program

UTEP is a teacher preparation program designed for those who do not already hold teaching certificates but are interested in teaching careers in Birmingham City Schools. UTEP is available at both undergraduate and graduate levels. It provides tuition support for a portion of required teacher education coursework in the following programs:

	Mathematics
	Science
	Special Education
	English as a Second Language (graduate level only)
	Spanish Language
