* Comprehensive exams must be taken upon completion of courses in Area
I. Students may, at their own risk, choose to take the comprehensive
examination during a semester in which they are concurrently enrolled in
their remaining core courses. However, the faculty does not endorse this
practice, and encourage students to complete all core courses prior to
taking the comprehensives.

ECG 695 Practicum II: Supervised Field Experience (Prerequisites: Areas I & II, successful completion of comprehensive exams, admission to candadacy))
Practicum is a minimum of 100 hours; 40 direct hours.

EGG 697 Counseling Internship* (Prerequisite: ECG 695 and
approval of Internship Coordinator).
* Current standards require 600 clock hours of
supervised internship; 240 direct hours
