OUTCOME 9:  Technology

OUTCOME C9: The UAB School Counselor candidate utilizes informational systems and technology to facilitate the delivery of a school counseling program and disseminate information.

C9.K Knowledge and Understanding: Knows current and emerging technology in education and school counseling to assist students, families, and educators in using resources that promote informed academic, career, and personal/social choices.

Levels of Achievement

Unacceptable

 Does not demonstrate an understanding of the current and emerging technology in education and school counseling, nor strategies for using resources that promote informed academic, career, and personal/social choices

[2]
Emerging Initial Performance

Demonstrates some knowledge and understanding of the current and emerging technology in education and school counseling; and demonstrates a limited understanding of strategies for using resources that promote informed academic, career, and personal/social choices.

[3]
Proficient Initial Performance

Demonstrates adequate knowledge and understanding of the current and emerging technology in education and school counseling; and demonstrates a limited understanding of strategies for using resources that promote informed academic, career, and personal/social choices. 

[4]
Emerging Advanced Performance

 Demonstrates exemplary knowledge and understanding of the current and emerging technology in education and school counseling; and demonstrates a limited understanding of strategies for using resources that promote informed academic, career, and personal/social choices.

Unable to demonstrate use of technology in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of a comprehensive school counseling program.

Emerging Initial Performance

Recognizes uses of technology some of the time; may not recognize the many uses of uses of technology in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of a comprehensive school counseling program.

[3]
Proficient Initial Performance

Recognizes uses of technology most of the time;. recognizes the many uses of technology in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of a comprehensive school counseling program.

[4]
Emerging Advanced Performance

 Consistently recognizes the many uses of technology in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of a comprehensive school counseling program
