OUTCOME 13:  Advocacy

OUTCOME C13: The UAB School Counselor candidate advocates for the promotion of student learning and achievement. 

    C13.K  Knowledge and Understanding: The Counselor-in-training understands and has knowledge of the history of advocacy for individuals -addressing racial, ethnic and cultural heritage, nationality, socioeconomic status, family structure, age, gender, sexual orientation, religious and spiritual beliefs, occupation, physical and mental status, and equity issues in school counseling programs.

Demonstrates some knowledge and understanding of the history of advocacy for individuals - addressing racial, ethnic and cultural heritage, nationality, socioeconomic status, family structure, age, gender, sexual orientation, religious and spiritual beliefs, occupation, physical and mental status, and equity issues in school counseling programs.

Demonstrates adequate knowledge and understanding of the history of advocacy for individuals - addressing racial, ethnic and cultural heritage, nationality, socioeconomic status, family structure, age, gender, sexual orientation, religious and spiritual beliefs, occupation, physical and mental status, and equity issues in school counseling programs.
