Welcome to the UAB Counselor Education Program Group Therapy Facilities

 

The Master of Arts in Counseling degree has concentrations in the areas of Community Agency, Rehabilitation, and School counseling.  At the Master's level, students acquire core knowledge and clinical skills which enable them to enter the profession of counseling.

 

Graduates in the Educational Specialist programs develop advanced skills in clinical work, supervision, research, and teaching in higher education. We strive to create a rigorous scholarly and supportive atmosphere for students to develop intellectually with a deep sense of social consciousness and self-awareness.

UAB Counselor Education Students to Study Counseling Profession in Italy.

Joining students and professors from Old Dominion University, BrieAnna Gesinski, Lynn English, Claire Robb, Rhiannon Reese and Dr. Larry Tyson are traveling to Florence, Italy during the May mini term. The purpose of this trip is to study the differences in the counseling profession between the US and Italy. To find out what we are learning and how we are doing, we each have a personal blog.
