Evaluation Design
and Consultation, Skills and Services
Designing evaluation
methods suitable for each project based on
specific needs for data and accountability;
consulting with investigators about types of
data to collect to answer research questions.
Researchers often use Goal Oriented, Process, or
Outcome Evaluations to evaluate projects:
i) Goal Oriented
Evaluation: Used to determine if programs meet
their pre-determined goals or objectives.
ii) Process
Evaluation: Used to determine the strengths and
weaknesses of the program activities.
iii) Outcome
Evaluation: Used to assess the effects of
programs (such as increase in knowledge, changes
in attitudes and behaviors, and increase in
self-efficacy).
