Earn a Four-Year Degree in Early Childhood Education from the Convenience of the Jefferson State Community College Campus in Birmingham

 

Are you interested in turning your current Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development into a Bachelor’s level degree? Or are you currently in the pipeline to complete an associate’s degree in Child Development and would like to make plans to move on to a bachelor’s degree?

 

Beginning this fall (2009), the UAB School of Education, in partnership with Jefferson State Community College, will begin offering Early Childhood Education coursework necessary to complete a bachelor’s of science degree in Early Childhood Education. Courses will be taught by UAB School of Education faculty on the Jefferson campus of Jeff State Community College in Birmingham*.

What courses must be complete before I apply for this program?

You must complete all core courses before you apply.

 

How do I apply for admission to this program? 

You must apply to a UAB as a transfer student by going to http://www.uab.edu/apply/ 

 

What are the admission requirements? 

Admission to UAB is based on your transfer GPA. You must have a 2.0 (on a 4.0 academic scale) in core courses. You must complete all core courses before you apply to UAB.
