College Campus in Birmingham
Are you interested in turning your
current Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education
or Child Development into a Bachelor’s level degree? Or
are you currently in the pipeline to complete an
associate’s degree in Child Development and would like
to make plans to move on to a bachelor’s degree?
Beginning this fall (2009), the UAB
School of Education, in partnership with
Jefferson State Community College, will begin
offering Early Childhood Education coursework necessary
to complete a bachelor’s of science degree in Early
Childhood Education. Courses will be taught by UAB
School of Education faculty on the Jefferson campus of
Jeff State Community College in Birmingham*.

You must complete all core courses before
you apply.
Admission to UAB is based on your
transfer GPA. You must have a 2.0 (on a 4.0 academic
scale) in core courses. You must complete all core
courses before you apply to UAB.
